7N Architects recently helped develop the concept for Sonic Dreams, a unique project which showcases cutting edge research on the auralisation of three dimensional space. It is currently under construction and due to open as part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival. The installation in St Andrews Square is a collaboration between Arup’s Soundlab team, the Cryptic theatre group and 7N Architects who designed the pavilion. It will take visitors into a 3D acoustic experience and transport them on a fantastical journey of sound centred on four diverse dreams including a jungle, the city of Amsterdam and a rock concert.
